Manville.Today officially launched in early 2024. Residents of Manville NJ needed a way to stay informed about the actions being taken by the Mayor & Council of Manville.
Manville.Today is your one-stop resource for news and information about what's happening at Borough Hall with Manville's Mayor & Council. We attend public meetings regularly, and question those in charge. New and amended Resolutions/Ordinances are always being passed. What are they? How do they affect you? We provide you, the resident, with news & information to understand what's happening.
We break all the information down for you in an easy to understand way. Not only do we regularly attend council meetings, we obtain more information about various topics via the OPRA (Open Public Records Act) process. We are highly involved in our community.
Important topics that impact residents are communicated via our website and app.
In 2025, Manville.Today continues to grow, and is branching out. We not only cover Borough government, but additional topics and community events relevant to residents of Manville. For more information, and our history, read our About page.
Manville operates as a Borough form of government. This means that Manville is a "strong council / weak mayor" form of government. When votes are taken by Council, it takes 4 votes for a motion to pass. If there is a tie, only then can the Mayor break the tie.
For Council control by political party, there needs to be at least 4 members, or 3 with the Mayor being a tie-breaking vote.
Manville NJ has been under Republican control since 2015. The Council is made up of 3 Republicans and 3 Democrats. The Mayor is a Republican.
