The highlight of Monday's Borough Council meeting was the swearing in of Manville's new Police Chief, Craig Jeremiah.

It was standing room only as friends, family, and fellow officers filled the Council Chamber to watch Chief Jeremiah take the oath of office.

During his comments, the Chief was emotional as he spoke about the department, and the stress the families of police officers go through knowing their loved ones are out protecting the community.

The Chief thanked the officers in attendance, the Council, and the public for putting their trust in him and he looks forward to continuing to serve Manville.

Chief Jeremiah was appointed to the rank of Deputy Chief last February, after stepping up to lead the department when our previous Chief stepped down.
