Curious Questions: Firehouse Closure? A Council Candidate Accessing Borough Offices?

There are rumors going around Manville on two important concerns. The first concern is a rumor that has been spreading that Manville Fire Company #3 has "closed" due to low membership.
The second is that one of the six candidates for Borough Council has been visiting Borough Hall often, and is supposedly going through files in Borough offices.
A resident asked these questions at last Monday's meeting: "What is the status of firehouse number 3 on Southside? All the trucks have been moved out?" (We believe the resident meant to say Northside, since Firehouse #3 is located there.)
"They have been moved out, for, um, maintenance. They were working on an engine today at number two, I saw. But that engine, I think, I think they are moving them around now? I don't.. I wish Walt Wilczek was here. I think that engine is going to stay at number two, and another engine, a red engine, is going to stay at number three." Mayor Richard Onderko responded.
"So there's nothing to the rumors that one is closing?" the resident followed-up.
"No there's no closing,” replied the Mayor.
"The firetruck is still on-point? The new fire truck?" the resident asked.
"Well, we're working our best on that. You know, once the sale of the sewer utility is completed, it gives us a green light to pursue our options." Mayor Richard Onderko responded.
"My other question is that, is there a reason that one of the candidates for Borough Council has been permitted to spend an awful lot of time at Borough Hall? Sitting with people and going through stuff? These are this person's words, that they are doing this." The resident asked.
"I haven’t seen it." Replied Mayor Richard Onderko.
"I take concern.." the Resident stated.
"I'll inquire. No employees should be behind the doors that say Employees Only," Mayor Onderko responded, wording was misspoken as quoted.
"I think that you need to reign the person in if this is true, because it's not fair. Because there's 6 people running, and one person should not be able to have free reign of all the offices at Borough Hall." The resident remarked.
"Duly noted. Thank you for your comment." Mayor Richard Onderko stated.
If there is any truth to the rumor that one of the six candidates for Borough Council is visiting Borough Hall regularly, and actually being inside of the various offices and going through files, this is unacceptable. The person does not currently hold office nor is an employee of the Borough. This type of activity, if true, needs to cease immediately.
