On Saturday, January 4th, Manville held its Reorganization Meeting at Borough Hall. Many people attended, and it was standing room only in the gallery.

Manville voters elected Democrat Patricia Zamorski & Republican Joseph A Lukac III to serve on Borough Council in November 2024's election. This was the Democrat's first win at a Borough Council seat in 6 years. The last winner was back in 2018, who was also Patricia Zamorski.

Both Councilmembers were supported by their families who were in attendance. Also in attendance were many dignitaries, including several Somerset County Commissioners, and the vice-chair of the New Jersey Democratic Party.

Overall, the event was positive, with usual reorganization business taking place. This included various appointments for positions, such as Borough Attorney and appointed positions to boards such as the Board of Health and Planning Board.

During the Public Portion and Council Comments period, there was interesting commentary regarding things happening at Borough Hall. We will be covering this information shortly, so be sure to check back with Manville.Today.

In closing, congratulations to both Councilwoman Zamorski & Councilman Lukac.

Now that election season and the holiday season is behind us, Manville.Today will be back in full swing to keep Manville residents informed on the activities of the Mayor & Council. We aren't going anywhere, and there will be a lot of topics to cover in the weeks and months ahead.

Happy New Year, Manville!
